Why We Pray
God has a heart for every people
A people group is a community shaped by a shared language, culture, and identity. Pakistan is home to hundreds of them: some numbering in the millions, others small and largely unknown beyond their own valleys and villages.
From the beginning, God’s plan has been to bless every nation and to gather worshippers from all of them.
“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne.”

Why Prayer Matters
Because Prayer Comes First
Every movement of God among a people begins on its knees. Jesus told us to ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers (Matthew 9:38).
Because Many Have Yet to Hear
Some groups have little access to the gospel, to Scripture in their own language, or to a local church. Prayer opens doors that nothing else can.
Because Every People Matters to God
No community is too small, too remote, or too difficult. Naming a people before God is an act of love and of faith.
Because Prayer Changes Us Too
When we pray for a people by name, we begin to care, to give, and sometimes to go.
How to Adopt
Adopt a people group in five steps
To adopt a people group is to commit to pray for them regularly, by name, over time. It is simple, and anyone can do it.
1. Choose One Group
Pick a people group from our Pakistan prayer list. Ask God to lead you or let us assign one to you.
2. Learn About Them
Find out their population, language, religion, and way of life. The more you know, the better you can pray.
3. Pray Every Week
Set a fixed time each week, even ten minutes. Use the prayer points below and add your own as God leads.
4. Invite Others
Bring your family, small group, or friends into it. A group prayed for by many is a group prayed for well.
5. Keep Going and Share What You See
Commit for at least a year. Tell us how you are praying and what God is doing.

What to pray for your group
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” Psalm 2:8
- That they would hear the good news of Jesus clearly, in a language they understand.
- That Scripture, audio, and video would be available in their heart language.
- That God would raise workers and local believers who love and serve them well.
- That families would be strengthened, and children would grow up safe and cared for.
- That peace, justice, health, and provision would reach their communities.
That the church in Pakistan would be united, courageous, and full of love for its neighbors.
